Noh Taemun, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics and Head of the DX Division, unveiled a blueprint to apply artificial intelligence to all products, sectors, and services, declaring that Samsung aims to become an "AI Companion" for everyday life.
On the 4th (local time), at 'The First Look' press conference held in Las Vegas, USA, President Noh delivered the keynote address, stating, "We will become a leader in delivering the power of innovation to more people around the world by realizing an integrated AI experience."
He emphasized, "Samsung ships 500 million devices annually and possesses this 'multi-device' connectivity," adding, "Our extensive portfolio is focused on every aspect of daily life." He also explained that Samsung's strengths, such as SmartThings and One UI, enable seamless connectivity between devices.
In particular, President Noh highlighted that Samsung Electronics combines 'on-device' AI, characterized by privacy protection, personalization, and real-time processing, with 'cloud AI,' which performs complex computations. This approach enables higher performance and forms the foundation for 'multi-device intelligence.'

On this day, ahead of the opening of CES 2026, the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition, Samsung Electronics unveiled its 'AI Everyday Companion' strategy, integrating AI into TVs, appliances, and health. Yong Seokwoo, President of the Visual Display Business Division, showcased innovations in viewing experiences, building on Samsung's 20-year streak as the global leader in the TV market. He stated, "Through AI, we are evolving beyond hardware excellence into 'visual intelligence,' providing richer, smarter, and more personalized experiences in everyday life," adding, "Samsung will lead the next chapter as a true entertainment companion."
President Yong noted, "The next 20 years will go far beyond just picture quality," introducing this year's new product, the '130-inch Micro RGB TV.' He described it as "the world's first Micro RGB product with the highest pixel quality on the market," and explained, "It delivers the purest and brightest colors achievable on a TV."
The entire 2026 lineup of Samsung TVs will feature the next-generation high dynamic range standard, 'HDR10+ Advanced,' and 'Eclipsa Audio,' a three-dimensional sound technology co-developed with Google. The 'Q-Symphony' feature will also be expanded to all Harman audio brands.
Additionally, Samsung introduced new OLED (organic light-emitting diode) TVs equipped with zero-gap wall mounts and the designer-collaborated Wi-Fi speaker 'Music Studio.' The proprietary TV operating system, Tizen OS, will support upgrades for seven years.

Samsung Electronics also presented its 'Home Companion' vision, aimed at liberating users from household chores. Kim Chulki, Executive Vice President and Head of the Digital Appliances (DA) Division, stated, "The Home Companion must understand users, always be ready to assist, and be reliable for long-term use," outlining three core strategies: an extensive connected ecosystem, optimized intelligence, and sustained reliability.
The 2026 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator will be equipped with Google's latest AI model, Gemini, enhancing ingredient recognition and management features. Additional features include recipe recommendations, video-based recipe conversion, and dietary reports for comprehensive food management. The 'Bespoke AI AirDresser,' 'Bespoke AI Combo' washer-dryer, and 'Bespoke AI Steam' robot vacuum also strengthen the integrated AI appliance management experience. Samsung plans to expand its 'Home Care Service,' which uses SmartThings to detect risks such as water leaks in advance and links to insurance benefits.
Samsung Electronics also unveiled its AI-based 'Intelligent Care' strategy spanning mobile devices, TVs, and appliances. Samsung Health analyzes sleep, nutrition, and activity data to provide health management coaching and, when abnormalities are detected, connects users to medical consultations via the Xealth platform. The company also introduced, for the first time, brain health technology that analyzes biometric signals such as sleep patterns, walking speed, and finger movements to detect cognitive decline, which is currently undergoing clinical review.
President Noh stated, "All of Samsung's products, services, and AI innovations are aimed at making users' daily lives more valuable," adding, "We will establish ourselves as the true AI companion for everyday life, based on responsible ethical standards." The products and services unveiled at 'The First Look' will be exhibited at the Samsung Electronics booth at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas from January 5 to 7.
