Establishing a 13,000-Square-Meter Organic Agriculture Hub

Sunchang County in Jeonbuk has launched full-scale efforts to open the 'Organic Agriculture Complex Center,' a hub designed to promote the spread of organic farming and boost consumption of eco-friendly agricultural products, with the goal of opening within this year.

According to Sunchang County on January 5, the county has recently begun related service contracts for the development of exhibition content, interior design, and operational planning for the center, accelerating the progress of the project.

The Organic Agriculture Complex Center, currently under construction within the Fermentation Theme Park in Baeksan-ri, Sunchang-eup, will cover a site area of 13,152 square meters and have a total floor area of 5,221 square meters across three above-ground floors. The center is being designed as an experiential complex space where consumers can directly learn about and enjoy the value of organic agriculture, going beyond a simple retail space.

Inside the center, there will be a convention hall capable of hosting large-scale forums, as well as a store and bakery featuring eco-friendly agricultural products from Sunchang, an exhibition and promotional hall, a health food experience center, and an organic education center.

In particular, a total budget of 1.28 billion won (approximately 1.28 billion KRW) will be allocated for the creation of exhibition content and interior design. The county plans to complete themed spaces by combining immersive content that will engage visitors with sophisticated design. In addition, through a service contract for the establishment of an operational management plan, the county is also laying a stable foundation for operation, including organizational structure and marketing strategies.

Choi Youngil, Mayor of Sunchang County, stated, "The Organic Agriculture Complex Center will be a key hub that elevates the status of eco-friendly agriculture in Sunchang and contributes to increasing farmers' income. We will prepare thoroughly so that it grows into a renowned organic attraction visited from all over the country, going beyond being just a simple facility."
