According to Osan City on January 5, the city received the top award in the "Operation of Hope Welfare Support Team" category and the excellence award in the "Provision of Visiting Health and Welfare Services" category in last year's regional welfare project evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Osan also received top awards in Gyeonggi Province's evaluations for "Discovering Neighbors in Crisis and Promoting Public-Private Cooperation" and "Implementation Results of City/County Community Social Security Plans." In addition, the city was recognized for the following achievements: ▲ three consecutive years of excellence in "Operation of the Public Response System for Child Abuse" among cities and counties ▲ Gold Prize in the "24th Public Health Nurse Best Practice Presentation and Promotion Booth Exhibition" ▲ two consecutive years of excellence in the "Public-Private Cooperation Mock Case Competition" hosted by the Korea Social Security Information Service.

The "Operation of Hope Welfare Support Team" category, which received the top award in the Ministry of Health and Welfare evaluation, was highly praised for assigning integrated case managers to each district to proactively identify households in crisis and for improving the quality of case management through regular monitoring and professional supervision. In the "Provision of Visiting Health and Welfare Services" category, the operation of mobile counseling vehicles and welfare registered mail services, which are tailored welfare services centered on citizens' daily lives, led to notable results.

One of the city's representative welfare safety nets is the "With Smile Solitary Death ZERO Alliance," operated in cooperation with nine welfare institutions in the city to prevent solitary deaths. Osan City is focusing on eliminating welfare blind spots by establishing a human safety net involving both the public and private sectors, centered around 5,757 honorary social welfare officials.

Lee Kwonjae, Mayor of Osan, stated, "Welfare is the most fundamental administration that supports the lives of citizens," adding, "We will continue to proactively respond to households in crisis and implement specialized welfare policies unique to Osan so that no citizen is left behind."
