On the 4th (local time), Guerra released an audio message through social media, emphasizing, "They want us to appear weak, but we will not show weakness."

He also mentioned the possibility that there was an internal traitor involved in the arrest of President Maduro. Guerra said, "History will reveal who the traitor was. Time will tell."

The United States deployed a large force to the presidential safe house in Caracas at around 1 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) the previous day and arrested President Maduro and his wife.

After news broke that President Maduro had been arrested and imprisoned at a federal detention center in New York, simultaneous protest rallies erupted across Europe, Central and South America, and Asia.

Large-scale protests were also held across the United States against the military operation carried out by the Donald Trump administration. According to The Guardian on the 4th, hundreds of demonstrators gathered in cities such as Chicago, Dallas, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Seattle. Protesters in Seattle held signs reading, "No blood for oil," and "Stop bombing Venezuela now."

Maduro Guerra is President Maduro's only biological son and is currently a member of the National Assembly. Along with his father and his stepmother, First Lady Cilia Flores, he has been indicted by U.S. authorities on charges of narcoterrorism. President Maduro is currently being held in a detention center in New York, and is scheduled to make his first appearance in a U.S. court on narcoterrorism charges at 2 a.m. on January 6, Korean time.

Currently, Delcy Rodriguez, 56, the Vice President of Venezuela, is serving as acting head of state.
