Applications Accepted at Township and Town Offices Until the 23rd
Jangsu County in Jeonbuk is accepting applications for the "2026 Green Remodeling Project for Low-Income Households," which aims to improve the residential environment and energy efficiency for low-income residents, until the 23rd of this month.
According to Jangsu County on January 5, this project targets recipients of basic livelihood support and the near-poor living in aging homes, with the goal of reducing energy consumption and ensuring residential safety.
Main areas of support include energy efficiency improvements such as installing LED lighting, replacing old windows and doors, and maintaining heating boilers, as well as overall improvements to living conditions both inside and outside the home, including the installation of security equipment and the renovation of kitchens and bathrooms.
This year, the county has secured a total project budget of 96 million won, with 50% each funded by the lottery fund and the county budget. Sixteen low-income households in the area will be selected to receive customized repair and maintenance support tailored to each household's needs.
To apply for the project, residents must visit the township or town office responsible for their registered address. After the application deadline, the county will conduct on-site inspections to comprehensively review the condition of the homes, the urgency of repairs, and household circumstances, then finalize the recipients and begin construction in sequence.
Additionally, during the same period, the county is accepting applications for the "Jangsu Filial Piety Home Repair Support Project" for households caring for parents aged 90 or older, and the "Home Renovation Project for the Disabled" to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
Choi Hunsik, Mayor of Jangsu County, stated, "The residential environment is a crucial factor directly linked to the quality of life for our residents," adding, "Through this project, we will continue to provide attentive support so that vulnerable residents can live in a safer and warmer environment."
