Up to 50% Off at PX Stores...
Earn 10% Additional Npay Points
Naver Pay announced on January 5 that it will launch a partnership service for the 'New IBK Nara Sarang Card' in collaboration with IBK Industrial Bank, marking the first time a simple payment provider has done so in the industry.
The IBK Nara Sarang Card is a product that offers a variety of special benefits that active-duty soldiers can experience both during their service and after discharge, as well as a range of collaborative services with Npay.
Among all Nara Sarang Cards released so far, this is the first product to offer partnership benefits with a simple payment company.
Active-duty soldiers can receive up to a 50% discount, including both basic and special discounts at PX stores. Even if soldiers only receive their military salary through IBK Industrial Bank, they can access the 'Active-Duty Package', which provides benefits such as discounts on communication fees, convenience stores, KTX and express buses, integrated coupons for Coupang, Daiso, and Olive Young, and up to 40,000 won off at Outback Steakhouse, all without any card spending requirements.
Through strategic collaboration, the two companies will allow users to register the IBK Nara Sarang Card with Npay and receive an additional 10% in Npay points for both online and offline payments. Soldiers can also easily apply in advance through the Naver and Npay applications, even before the Military Manpower Administration examination.
Going forward, the two companies plan to enhance the payment infrastructure with 'Npay Connect' to provide soldiers with a safe and diverse payment experience. They also intend to actively support the digital transformation of defense and military administration using Web3 technology.
After discharge, a variety of on-site and billing discount services tailored to different lifestyles will be available. Discounts will be offered at affiliated merchants such as convenience stores, public transportation, delivery services, PC rooms, language tests, bookstores, and gaming centers. To ensure the card is useful abroad, overseas transaction fees will be waived.
Ryu Jeongwon, Npay Payment Marketing Leader, stated, "Through our partnership with IBK Industrial Bank, we have focused on providing Npay benefits to soldiers fulfilling their national defense duties," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our partnership to further expand benefits that soldiers can truly experience."
