The Regional Community Job Program is a public job initiative that utilizes local specialized resources to provide employment opportunities for vulnerable groups such as low-income individuals and the long-term unemployed, helping them establish a foundation for self-reliance.

The program will run from February 9 to June 26, and recruitment will cover a total of seven areas: ▲Operation support for the Munye Forest Community Center ▲Maintenance and environmental cleanup of traditional cultural facilities ▲Operation support for the Basic Food Bank and Food Market ▲Support for job discovery and job center work ▲Creating walkable streets through citizen gardeners ▲Creating a clean farmland environment by supporting urban agriculture communities ▲Shin2naneun Our Village Garden Keeper.

Eligible applicants are citizens aged 19 or older and under 65 as of the program start date, who are able to work, belong to a household with an income not exceeding 70% of the standard median income, and have assets of 400 million won or less. Among these, priority will be given to low-income individuals with incomes at or below 60% of the standard median income, the long-term unemployed, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.

Citizens wishing to participate must visit their local community service center (administrative welfare center) during the application period with their ID and any relevant certificates to apply.

The city will comprehensively consider income, assets, age, and other factors to select participants, and the results will be individually notified in the first week of February. Detailed recruitment notices can be found in the 'Job Announcements' section of the Uijeongbu City website.

Lee Bugun, Head of the Job and Economy Division, stated, "We hope that this Regional Community Job Program will provide practical support for citizens facing difficulties and serve as a stepping stone for their transition to private sector jobs."
