“Nongshim Will Further Expand Its Global Territory”
Nongshim is accelerating the expansion of its global business this year. The company’s strategy is to strengthen its overseas market penetration, with Shin Ramyun at the center, and focus on generating tangible results.
On January 5, Nongshim held its 2026 New Year’s ceremony at its headquarters in Sindaebang-dong, Seoul, and presented “Global Agility & Growth” as this year’s management guideline. During the ceremony, CEO Yongchul Cho gave a presentation to employees, outlining the company’s global business achievements and future strategies.

“Global Agility & Growth” means responding to changes in the business environment with swift and accurate decisions and flexible execution, while achieving sustainable growth in the global market. Nongshim has set this as the core direction for all of its management activities this year.
CEO Cho emphasized the importance of overseas market expansion. He stated, “Last year, in celebration of our 60th anniversary, we established ‘Vision 2030’ and have continued to pursue change and challenges from a global perspective. This year, it is time to achieve tangible results in the rapidly changing global business environment, building on our accumulated capabilities.”
Nongshim also plans to accelerate export growth by leveraging the Noksan export-only plant, scheduled for completion in the second half of the year. The company aims to boost production efficiency and respond more agilely to overseas demand, thereby driving growth in global sales.
The company also highlighted that this year marks the 40th anniversary of Shin Ramyun’s launch. Shin Ramyun is now available in about 100 countries worldwide and has established itself as the core brand of Nongshim’s global business. CEO Cho said, “For 40 years, Shin Ramyun has pioneered the global market with Korea’s signature spicy flavor as a representative K-food brand. Like global nomads who turn unfamiliar markets into new opportunities, Nongshim must further expand its global territory this year.”
Nongshim plans to maintain its market leadership not only by expanding its global business but also by strengthening marketing and promotions in the domestic market. CEO Cho said, “In the Year of the Red Horse, we must demonstrate Nongshim’s unique drive and passion to lead the market not only through global business but also with diverse marketing and promotional activities in Korea, becoming a food company that enriches people’s lives with delicious products.”
