Neowiz's 'Shape of Dreams' Surpasses 1 Million Units in Cumulative Sales

Achieved in Just Three and a Half Months After Launch
Unique Gameplay and Active Communication Drive Success

Neowiz announced on January 5 that its new action roguelite title, 'Shape of Dreams,' released in September last year, has surpassed 1 million units in cumulative global sales.

'Shape of Dreams,' developed by Lizard Smoothie, sold 500,000 copies within about two weeks of its launch and reached the global million-seller milestone in approximately three and a half months as of December 31.

Neowiz cited the game’s unique gameplay as the main driver of its success. The dynamic roguelite action, which incorporates multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) elements, and real-time cooperative play supporting up to four players, have resonated with global users. In particular, the ever-changing stages themed around 'dreams' and the ability to create new builds with over 150 item combinations have been highlighted as factors that maximize the game’s enjoyment.

The response from both domestic and international players and critics has also been positive. 'Shape of Dreams' received scores of 84 and 86 on global review sites Metacritic and OpenCritic, respectively, and maintained a 'Very Positive' rating from Steam users. Neowiz explained that the company has continued user-centered communication, actively gathering feedback from global players since the demo version before launch. After release, the company has provided hotfix patches and maintained steady service updates.
