Kiwoom Securities Launches New Year Event for Brokerage-type ISA Customers

Kiwoom Securities announced on January 5 that it will hold the "Lucky 2026, Brokerage-type ISA Benefit Dream" event for brokerage-type ISA customers until March 31 to celebrate the New Year.

Kiwoom Securities Launches New Year Event for Brokerage-type ISA Customers

This event is open to both new and existing brokerage-type ISA customers.

The main benefits are as follows: First, all customers who newly open a brokerage-type ISA account or transfer their account from another company will receive a 10,000 KRW Shinsegae gift certificate. Customers who re-enroll after maturity are also eligible for the event if they newly open an account.

Second, among customers who make their very first transaction with a brokerage-type ISA account, 3,000 will be selected by lottery to receive up to 10 shares of domestic ETFs.

Finally, depending on the net deposit amount in the brokerage-type ISA account, customers who meet the conditions can receive up to 1 million KRW in gift certificates. If transferring an ISA account from another company, the transferred amount will be counted as double when calculating the net deposit amount.

A Kiwoom Securities representative stated, "Recently, public interest in brokerage-type ISAs has been increasing," adding, "We hope that through this event, many customers can enjoy both tax savings and event benefits at the same time."

The brokerage-type ISA allows investors to directly invest in domestically listed stocks and various financial products through a single account. For net profits generated within the account, the general type offers tax exemption benefits of up to 2 million KRW, while the basic type offers up to 4 million KRW.

However, if the mandatory subscription period of three years is not fulfilled and the account is closed early, the tax benefits will not apply. In such cases, any taxes previously reduced under the special tax treatment will be collected, so caution is advised.

Kiwoom Securities is also running an additional event for customers who trade asset management company ETFs through their brokerage-type ISA accounts, offering mobile gift certificates worth up to 180,000 KRW.

To receive the benefits of this event, customers must apply for the event. Detailed information about the event can be found on the Kiwoom Securities website.
