Awarded 'Monthly MVP' by Rakuten in November
Annual Sales in Japan Expected to Reach 20 Billion KRW
On January 5, Xexymix, an athleisure brand, announced that it is expected to achieve its highest-ever performance in Japan last year.
The cumulative sales of Xexymix's Japanese subsidiary for the third quarter of last year reached 11.9 billion KRW, surpassing its annual sales for 2024 (11.5 billion KRW). Sales in November alone increased by 72% year-on-year, bringing the company close to reaching 20 billion KRW in local sales in Japan.
In November last year, Xexymix also received the 'Monthly MVP' award from Rakuten, given to the top 1% of brands. November is a month of fierce competition among companies due to large-scale discount events such as Black Friday.
This achievement is attributed to the expansion of both online and offline channels and aggressive localization marketing. Xexymix opened pop-up stores and held customer participation events such as yoga classes, focusing on the Kanto region where many young Japanese gather. The company also opened a total of three official stores in key commercial districts including Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. In addition, Xexymix engaged in marketing activities such as sponsoring local entertainment programs and appointing former girl group member Harumi Sato as a model.
Furthermore, as the weather turned colder, sales of high-priced winter items such as the 'Sherpa High Neck Jumper' increased, driving sales growth through the end of the year.
A Xexymix representative stated, "Based on our multi-channel capabilities encompassing both online and offline, we plan to further strengthen our market competitiveness this year," adding, "We will continue to strive to establish a stable foundation for growth and to become the leading brand in Japan's athleisure market."
