Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on January 5 that it had received a donation of 20 million won from Shinsegae Simon Paju Premium Outlets on December 31 to support low-income and vulnerable groups in the district.

The donation ceremony was attended by Park Jiyoon, Executive Director in charge of store operations at Shinsegae Simon, Jang Yunseok, General Manager of Shinsegae Simon Paju Premium Outlets, and other related officials. The donated funds will be used through the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea to support basic living stability and various welfare programs for low-income residents facing financial difficulties.
Executive Director Park Jiyoon stated, "With the arrival of the New Year 2026, I hope this small gesture will help our neighbors in need," adding, "We will continue to practice the value of sharing through various social contribution activities and make ongoing efforts for mutual growth with the local community."
