[Click eStock] "Ecopro BM's Cathode Material Sales to Decline This Year"

On January 5, NH Investment & Securities estimated that Ecopro BM's cathode material sales volume this year will decrease by 13% compared to the previous year.

Minwoo Joo, a researcher at NH Investment & Securities, explained, "This year's estimated cathode material sales volume is 62,000 tons," and added, "Specifically, we expect 44,000 tons to Samsung SDI and 18,000 tons to SK On."

He continued, "Although the sales environment in Europe for Samsung SDI will remain challenging this year, a slight improvement in sales volume is possible due to proactive inventory adjustments. On the other hand, sales to SK On are expected to decline significantly as a result of the liquidation of the North American joint venture."

He added, "Despite weak demand, lithium prices are expected to remain favorable. Performance recovery is likely to appear gradually starting next year, when major customers launch new 46pi projects and mass production of LFP begins."

For the fourth quarter of last year, he estimated that the company achieved 557.8 billion won in revenue and 24.5 billion won in operating profit. The operating profit is expected to have exceeded market expectations.
