Practicing Proactive Administration
Strengthening Fair and Transparent Governance
The Daegu Regional Veterans Affairs Office under the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Director Kim Jongsul) began its first work of 2026 on January 2 in the Kim Yonghae Room on the third floor of the office building, with a commitment to proactive administration and an anti-corruption integrity pledge.

All employees attended the New Year's ceremony that day, holding an event to pledge proactive administration under the slogan, "One Step Ahead with Proactive Administration, One Step Closer to Veterans' Families." The participants reaffirmed their commitment to anti-corruption and integrity by reading pledges to prohibit improper solicitations, ban the acceptance of money or valuables, and eradicate workplace abuse.
After the ceremony, a New Year's "Integrity Sandwich Sharing" event was held to mark the Year of the Fire Horse, wishing for the establishment of a clean public service culture, as well as the health and good fortune of the staff.
Kim Jongsul, Director of the Daegu Regional Veterans Affairs Office, stated, "In the new year, we will do our utmost to ensure that special respect and rewards are provided to national merit recipients and veterans' families who have sacrificed and devoted themselves to the country, based on fair and transparent administration."
