A Releases Additional Statement

Individual A, who raised allegations about actor Lee Eikyung's private life, has released an additional statement.

On January 4, Individual A posted on their social media account, "I have already stated that in May of last year, I sent an email to the actor's agency office with captured materials related to the actor's sexually inappropriate remarks and photos." They added, "The attached material is a screenshot showing that I received a VoiceTalk call from the actor."

The material includes Individual A's explanation that they were unable to answer the call at the time. It also contains a conversation in which Individual A sent a screenshot of the incoming VoiceTalk call to an acquaintance.

Individual A claimed, "(Lee Eikyung) made a threatening statement, saying, 'Your personal information will be revealed-are you okay with that? This is a crime that can be investigated by hiring a lawyer.'"

Additionally, Individual A stated, "After sending the email to the agency, I never made any direct reference to the report in my communication with the actor, yet the actor contacted me first. This led me to be certain that it was the actor. The actor said things like, 'Now, because of you, I might have to meet with a reporter,' and 'I considered you a close younger friend, shared my daily life, and kept in touch for a long time-why did you do this?' I felt psychological pressure and sent a correction email to withdraw my report."

Finally, Individual A stated, "The material is absolutely not fabricated, and I am reviewing and preparing the necessary legal procedures according to future guidance from the embassy. If the actor also wishes to uncover the truth of this incident, I request that he sincerely cooperate with any forensic procedures that may take place going forward."

Meanwhile, Lee Eikyung became embroiled in rumors about his private life in October of last year after Individual A's post appeared on online communities and social networking services. The agency responded strongly, stating, "We are preparing legal action against the spread of false information and malicious rumors," and vowed to respond firmly.
