Chuncheon City Accepts Applications for Farmer Allowance... 700,000 Won Annual Support per Farming Household

Applications Accepted from January 5 to 20 at Local Administrative Centers
Support Provided via Prepaid Card or Chuncheon Love Gift Certificate

Chuncheon City in Gangwon Province (Mayor Yuk Donghan) will be accepting applications for the 2026 Farmer Allowance Support Program from January 5 to January 20, 2026.

The Farmer Allowance is available to farmers who actually cultivate at least 1,000 square meters of farmland. Eligible applicants include the head (or co-head) of an agricultural management entity or another farmer in the household, but only one person per household may apply. To qualify, the applicant must have resided in the province for at least two years and have been registered as an agricultural management entity and engaged in farming for at least two years.

The support amount is 700,000 won per household per year, provided either as a prepaid card or as a mobile Chuncheon Love Gift Certificate, depending on the applicant's choice.

However, those who meet any of the following criteria are excluded from support: if either spouse has a non-agricultural comprehensive income of 37 million won or more in the year before last; if the applicant or spouse is an employee of a government office or public institution; or if the applicant has violated agricultural laws or regulations.

Applications can be submitted at the administrative welfare center of the applicant's town, township, or neighborhood based on their resident registration address. For more details, contact the Agricultural Policy Division at the Chuncheon Agricultural Technology Center.

A Chuncheon City official stated, "As this project is intended to support the stable farming activities of local farmers, we hope that all eligible farmers will actively apply."
