Naju City in South Jeolla Province will hold the 'Dialogue with Residents' from January 7 to 20, touring 20 towns and townships to directly communicate with citizens and explore the city’s policy direction together as the new year of 2026 begins.

According to Naju City on January 3, this event is part of the first on-site, communication-focused administration of the new year, aimed at realizing citizen-centered open governance and directly hearing about regional issues and everyday inconveniences.

Starting with Nampyeong-eup, city officials will visit all 20 towns and townships in sequence to listen to a wide range of opinions from residents.

In particular, during this schedule, the city will directly explain to residents its major policies, such as the establishment of the artificial sun research facility and the '2026 Visit Naju Year,' which are being actively promoted, as well as the future direction of municipal administration. The city also plans to discuss development strategies tailored to each region's circumstances together with residents.

Additionally, the city intends to broadly collect feedback on inconveniences experienced in daily life, suggestions for regional development, and creative policy ideas, so that these can lead to practical improvements and be reflected in policy.

Mayor Yoon Byungtae of Naju stated, "Each and every resident’s voice is the most important starting point for shaping Naju’s future," and added, "We will actively communicate by visiting people in their daily lives, listening and empathizing, to find practical solutions that can lead to regional development."

Meanwhile, Naju City plans to thoroughly review the opinions presented during this dialogue with residents, actively reflect them in municipal administration, and, if necessary, connect them to institutional improvements and follow-up measures to create changes that citizens can truly feel.
