"Gimhae Aiga(家)" Officially Launches on the 5th ... One-Stop Platform for Childbirth, Parenting, and Care Support

The comprehensive population policy information platform "Gimhae Aiga(家)," which was selected as the top population initiative in Gimhae, Gyeongnam last year, will officially launch on January 5.

Gimhae City has created "Gimhae Aiga(家)," the first platform in Gyeongnam that allows all citizens to easily view and apply for support policies related to pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, care, youth, and young adults in one place.

This platform integrates information on more than 1,000 support programs and policies that were previously scattered, enabling citizens to check and apply for the assistance they need via smartphone or PC. Users can also receive notifications about programs of interest through smartphone alerts, which is a key feature.

Additionally, the platform offers practical functions such as a parenting and care map that displays local care facilities, hospitals, and experience centers at a glance; a toy rental and return system; a calendar of major events for the month; and multilingual support.

The platform's name, "Gimhae Aiga(家)," was chosen through a public naming contest and online voting held in October last year.

The name incorporates the friendly nuance of the Gyeongsang dialect phrase "Gimhae Aiga~" while also conveying the meaning of "Gimhae's child" living in "our home (家) in Gimhae," reflecting both the region's identity and its family-friendly symbolism.

Prior to the official launch, the city updated the content of each sector by involving staff from relevant departments throughout December last year. It also conducted a pilot operation with 100 citizens who participated in regional population policy tea time sessions from July to November, using their feedback to supplement and improve the platform.

Citizens who wish to use the platform can access it by clicking the "Gimhae Aiga" shortcut on the Gimhae City Hall website or by scanning the QR code provided on promotional posters.

A city official stated, "This platform is a digital administrative service closely connected to daily life, designed to help citizens receive essential benefits in a timely manner," adding, "We will continue to develop content and improve features to enhance the user experience for our citizens."
