Yeoju City Council Members Park Siseon and Yoo Pilseon Honored with '2025 Legislative Grand Prize'

At the 2025 Year-End Ceremony of the Yeoju City Council, Vice Chairman Park Siseon and Assemblyman Yoo Pilseon were each honored with commendations for their meritorious legislative activities.

Vice Chairman Park Siseon received the President's Award from the Gyeonggi-do City and County Council Chairmen's Association as an outstanding member in the field of legislative research and development. Assemblyman Yoo Pilseon was awarded the Korea Local Legislative Service Award, organized by the Korea City, County, and District Council Chairmen's Association, in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of local legislation and community service.

Vice Chairman Park Siseon was recognized for his comprehensive efforts in legislative research and addressing key issues, including sponsoring ordinances that reflect local conditions and residents' needs such as the 'Yeoju City Rural Homestay Support Ordinance' and the 'Ordinance to Promote Children's Right to Play.' He was also acknowledged for his participation in legislative research groups focused on fair trade policies and regulatory improvement, as well as civic advocacy activities related to the abolition of Han River Act regulations.

Assemblyman Yoo Pilseon was recognized for his overall contributions, including the enactment and revision of practical ordinances such as the 'Yeoju City Ordinance on the Identification and Support of Households in Crisis,' the 'Yeoju City Ordinance on the Designation and Management of Protected Trees,' and the 'Yeoju City Enlistment Support Allowance Ordinance.' His activities in legislative research groups and field-oriented legislative work were also acknowledged.

Meanwhile, during the ceremony, commendations were also presented to public officials recognized for their distinguished legislative work and to individuals who contributed to the development of the Yeoju City Council. Honorees from a variety of sectors-including employees of the council's administrative office, financial institutions, public agencies, and the culture and tourism sector-were commended for their dedication over the past year.

Chairman Park Doohyeong stated, "These awards are a recognition of the Yeoju City Council members' sincere legislative activities for the citizens," adding, "Yeoju City Council will continue to earn the trust of our citizens through research-driven policy legislation and responsible council management."
