Kim Taeheum, Governor of Chungnam Province, who last year achieved policy results such as expanding the securing of national funds, attracting large-scale investments, and transforming the industrial structure, stated on January 2, "I will channel the energy of the new year to create a vibrant and energetic year."

At the New Year's kick-off ceremony held at the provincial government’s Culture and Arts Hall that day, Governor Kim said, "Chungnam has proven its governance not through declarations, but through results," and added, "Through dynamic and proactive administration, we have achieved tangible outcomes in securing national funds, attracting investments, and in overall industrial policy."

He continued, "Today's achievements are the result of public officials who have quietly fulfilled their responsibilities in the field," emphasizing, "The changes in Chungnam are not a coincidence, but the outcome of setting clear goals and pursuing them unwaveringly."

He added, "We have led the provincial administration with the mindset of 'Where there is a will, there is a way' (Yujikyungseong), and as befits the strength of Chungnam, the policies we have set and pushed forward are now yielding results one by one."

Governor Kim defined 2026 as the year to complete the achievements of the 8th popularly elected provincial administration and as a turning point that will connect these achievements to the next stage of growth.

He stated, "This year is an important period to summarize the achievements of the 8th administration and transform them into future assets for Chungnam," and added, "As governor, I will fulfill my responsibilities and duties so that public officials can work with pride and passion."
