Busan Himchan Hospital Receives Dongnae District Mayor's Award for 'Neighbor Helping and Public-Private Cooperation Merit'

On December 31, Busan Himchan Hospital received the '2025 Neighbor Helping and Public-Private Cooperation Merit District Mayor's Award' from the Dongnae District Office.

This award was established to recognize the efforts of organizations and related public officials who contributed to sharing activities and the spread of a donation culture for residents in need within Dongnae District throughout 2025. Busan Himchan Hospital was highly praised for its ongoing participation in building a collaborative sharing system between the public and private sectors through continuous cooperation with the local community.

The Dongnae District Office explained that the main background for this award was the consistent collaboration between private medical institutions and local administration to address welfare blind spots and the sustained, resident-centered sharing activities in the community.

Busan Himchan Hospital has continuously supported vulnerable groups in the region through donation and medical support activities in partnership with Dongnae District. The hospital has also expanded its engagement with residents by providing medical support at local events and offering health lectures. In addition, as a designated hospital for veterans, it provides medical support for national merit recipients and participates in medical care for victims of the Hyungje Welfare Center, thereby fulfilling its role in public healthcare within the community.

These activities have not been limited to one-time support but have led to meaningful achievements in establishing a culture of sharing and building a foundation for public cooperation in the region.

Jang Junyong, Mayor of Dongnae District, stated, "When the public and private sectors faithfully fulfill their respective roles and cooperate, community welfare can be genuinely improved," and added, "We are grateful for the active participation of private organizations, including local medical institutions."
