Employee Participation in the "Integrity Tree"
Strengthening Commitment to Integrity in the New Year
On January 2, Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province launched the new year of 2026 with a strong commitment to integrity by conducting the "Cheongnyeom Promise Campaign" for all its employees.

This campaign was held in conjunction with the year’s first official event, the New Year’s kick-off ceremony, to remind public officials of the fundamental value of integrity and to strengthen their determination to put it into practice.
Employees pledged to uphold integrity in public service throughout the year by attaching integrity stickers to the "Yeongju City Integrity Tree" design. The "Integrity Tree" symbolizes how each individual’s commitment contributes to cultivating a culture of integrity across the entire organization. The campaign’s simple and participatory approach encouraged voluntary empathy and active involvement from employees.
In particular, this campaign served as an opportunity to reaffirm the basic principles of the public sector and to share a commitment to proactive administration based on integrity, marking the start of the new year under the leadership of the new Acting Mayor of Yeongju.
Eom Taehyun, Acting Mayor, stated, "I hope this campaign, which opens 2026 with a promise of integrity, will serve as a moment for all employees to reflect on the meaning of integrity once again." He added, "We will continue to expand the culture of integrity to build a city administration that earns the trust of our citizens."
