Announcing a Strong Commitment to County Governance
Wanju County has marked "on-site communication" as its first initiative of the 2026 Byeongo Year, declaring an ambitious leap forward together with its residents for the new year.
According to Wanju County on January 2, County Governor Yoo Heetae visited the Yongjin Local Food Direct Market at dawn on January 1, the first official schedule of the new year. Governor Yoo encouraged the farmers who were working hard from early morning to supply fresh agricultural products and personally listened to their difficulties on site.
On this day, Governor Yoo promised, "This year as well, we will strengthen field-oriented communication in administration and spare no effort to support farmers so that they can take pride in their work and focus solely on stable production activities."
After completing the site visit, Governor Yoo moved to the Wanju Wooseok Observatory with senior public officials to hold a New Year's sunrise event. There, he drew attention by personally performing calligraphy of the four-character idiom "Yujigyeongseong" (有志竟成), which encapsulates Wanju County's strong commitment to governance for the year. The phrase means "A person with determination will eventually achieve their goal," reflecting his resolve to fulfill promises made to the residents.
The attending public officials also wrote down their New Year's resolutions, reaffirming their commitment and wishing for a bright future for Wanju County.
Governor Yoo Heetae stated, "Throughout this year, with the spirit of 'Yujigyeongseong,' we will focus all administrative efforts on realizing the aspirations of our residents and perfectly laying the foundation for Wanju's leap forward."
