On January 2, Jang Deokhyun, President and CEO of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, addressed employees at the New Year's kick-off ceremony held at the Suwon plant, urging them to "establish unrivaled competitiveness with top-tier technologies in growth markets such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, which present new opportunities, and to provide differentiated solutions to customers."

Samsung Electro-Mechanics held the kick-off ceremony both online and offline, reflecting on last year's achievements and presenting awards to employees. The ceremony took place at the Suwon plant and was broadcast live online to the Suwon, Sejong, and Busan plants.

At the event, President Jang called for the establishment of a robust business structure that remains resilient despite external uncertainties. He also shared the company's management direction for the new year, which includes securing technological superiority with a focus on high value-added products, enhancing manufacturing competitiveness through expanded automation and productivity improvements, commercializing new businesses such as all-solid-state batteries and glass substrates, and driving company-wide innovation by utilizing AI.

President Jang predicted, "2026 will be a challenging year as technological innovation and changes in the global business environment unfold simultaneously," and added, "The Component Division will expand the development of advanced products for AI servers and automotive electronics, the Package Solution Division will focus on high value-added products for servers and AI accelerators, and the Optical Solution Division will work to secure competitiveness for entry into growth markets such as automotive electronics and robotics."

He further emphasized, "The difference between first and second place is determined by the final 1% of detail," and encouraged, "Let us all maximize our capabilities in our respective fields, pursue perfection to the very end, turn crises into opportunities, and build technological competitiveness that overwhelms our competitors."
