Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province is launching an online platform that brings together the products and services of local businesses in one place.

On January 2, the city announced the official launch of the “Gwangmyeong Mutual Growth Platform,” an online platform aimed at building a citizen-driven local circular economy and turning community assets into shared resources.

Local Products and Services All in One Place... Gwangmyeong City Launches "Gwangmyeong Mutual Growth Platform"

The “Gwangmyeong Mutual Growth Platform” is an online space that connects local small and medium-sized enterprises, small business owners, and citizens. The platform gathers information on products and services offered by local businesses in one place, making it easy for citizens to find and use them.

The platform provides services such as: ▲ introducing products and services sold by local SMEs and small business owners ▲ offering data on local businesses ▲ providing information on business support programs ▲ and a “Gwangmyeong Lounge” that compiles key city policies and local information.

In particular, product and service information is linked to company websites, online shopping malls, and social networking services (SNS), so that it can lead directly to actual purchases. Through this, citizens can easily find and purchase reliable information about local businesses at a glance, while companies and small business owners are expected to gain opportunities for online promotion and market expansion without the burden of building separate distribution networks.

The city plans to use this platform to create a sustainable local economic structure in which citizens' consumption and participation drive the growth of local businesses, and local resources are circulated within the community.

Local companies and small business owners who wish to join the platform can apply by accessing the “Gwangmyeong Mutual Growth Platform” or scanning the provided QR code, as long as they have their own website, online shopping mall, or SNS account. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Gwangmyeong City Investment Promotion Division.

Park Seungwon, Mayor of Gwangmyeong, stated, “The Gwangmyeong Mutual Growth Platform is the starting point for a local circular economy in which local businesses, small business owners, and citizens participate together,” adding, “We will continue to develop the platform so that anyone can easily use it by incorporating citizen feedback throughout the operation process.”
