Younghyun Jeon, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics (Head of the Device Solutions Division), and No Tae-moon, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics (Head of the DX Division), have emphasized the need to apply AI (artificial intelligence) technological innovation throughout all work processes. In particular, Vice Chairman Jeon mentioned that Samsung Electronics' sixth-generation HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) technology is currently ahead of competitors and called for further strengthening of technological competitiveness.

In a New Year's address to employees on January 2, Vice Chairman Jeon stated, "Samsung Electronics is the world's only semiconductor company capable of providing a 'one-stop solution' from logic and memory to foundry and advanced packaging," adding, "Let us leverage this strength to meet the unprecedented demand for AI semiconductors and lead the AI era together with our customers."

He stressed the importance of developing AI solutions specialized for semiconductors by utilizing the latest AI technologies and high-quality data, and applying these solutions across semiconductor design, R&D, manufacturing, and quality management to achieve technological innovation in semiconductors.

He particularly noted, "HBM4 has demonstrated differentiated competitiveness, with customers even saying 'Samsung is back,'" and added, "We must absolutely reclaim our fundamental technological competitiveness in memory." Regarding the foundry business, he said it has entered a full-fledged phase of growth, stating, "Let us turn opportunities into achievements based on technology and trust." He also emphasized, "In this era, the expectations of our customers must become our own standards," and called for a shift from a product-centered to a customer-oriented company.

No Tae-moon also set forth the goal of becoming a "leading company driving the AI transformation period," and said that AI technology must be organically integrated into all devices and service ecosystems in the DX Division to provide customers with the best possible experience. He stated, "AX (AI transformation) is not just a tool, but a process that fundamentally changes our mindset and work processes," and encouraged employees to innovate both their ways of working and thinking through AI, thereby increasing work speed and productivity.

He further stated that technological capability and proactive risk management can become powerful tools to turn crises into opportunities. He also emphasized the importance of securing market leadership through overwhelming product strength and crisis response capability. In addition, he advocated for establishing a culture that encourages swift execution and challenges, and stressed the importance of a compliance culture for a sustainable future.
