Seongnam City Delegation to Visit CES 2026 and Sister City
25 Local Small and Venture Businesses to Join Seongnam Hall at CES
Three Companies Win Innovation Awards
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor: Shin Sang-jin) will dispatch a delegation from January 5 to 9 to attend the opening ceremony of the Seongnam Hall at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest home appliance and information technology exhibition, and to expand exchanges with its sister city, Fullerton, California, USA.
The delegation, led by Seongnam City Deputy Mayor Lim Jongcheol, will visit Fullerton and Las Vegas to strengthen exchanges between the sister cities and support Seongnam-based companies participating in CES 2026 in their efforts to enter the U.S. market.
CES, organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is a major exhibition that showcases the latest trends in the global information technology and home appliance industries. Since 2024, Seongnam City has operated the 'Seongnam Hall' for three consecutive years, supporting the overseas expansion of local small and venture businesses.
At CES 2025, 25 local small businesses participated, achieving a total of $171 million (approximately 249.4 billion won) in business consultations and $108 million (approximately 157 billion won) in contract pursuits.
At CES 2026, three out of the 25 companies participating in the Seongnam Hall received Innovation Awards, demonstrating the technological competitiveness of Seongnam-based companies. The Innovation Awards went to Mango Slab for its AI-based braille printer, an ICT convergence product based on micro-heating technology; Exosystems for its AI-based remote treatment monitoring platform for digital healthcare medical devices; and Anopen for its privacy-based authentication solution for facial recognition, biometric authentication, and security. In particular, Mango Slab won the Best Innovation Award for its AI-based braille printer, 'Nemonic Dot.'
Since signing a sister city agreement with Fullerton in April 2023, Seongnam City has continued regular exchanges, and in June of the same year, opened the K-SBC (Seongnam Business Center) in Fullerton to serve as a global business hub for Seongnam companies.
On January 5, the delegation will visit Fullerton City Hall to meet with Mayor Fred Jung to discuss ways to expand exchanges between the two cities and request continued interest and cooperation in the operation of K-SBC. Afterwards, they will travel to Las Vegas to attend the opening ceremony of the Seongnam Hall at CES 2026, and then participate in a meeting with participating companies and visit major exhibition halls to explore overseas market opportunities and review exhibition operation cases.
