[New Year's Address] Mainbiz Association President Myungjin Kim: "Supporting SME Management Innovation with a Package-Type Support System"

"Accelerating the Establishment of an Online Co-Prosperity Platform"

Myungjin Kim, President of the Mainbiz Association (Korea Association of Innovative Management SMEs), announced four key priorities for the Year of the Fire Horse and pledged to actively pursue regulatory and institutional improvements.

In his New Year's address on December 31, President Kim stated, "2026 marks the meaningful 20th anniversary of the introduction of the Mainbiz system," adding, "This year, the association will focus its efforts on strengthening the competitiveness of Mainbiz companies."

He continued, "Since its launch in 2006, the Mainbiz system has provided direction for management innovation among small and medium-sized enterprises over the past 20 years, playing a crucial role in the growth of more than 25,000 Mainbiz companies into a solid pillar supporting Korea’s industry and economy today."

He also outlined four key priorities for driving innovative growth and strengthening the co-prosperity ecosystem for SMEs, stating, "We will systematically support management innovation for SMEs through a package-type support system centered on strengthening policy foundations and improving regulations."

Furthermore, he said, "Based on voices from the field, we will continue to identify and address regulatory and institutional challenges, and we will take the lead in effective policy cooperation and institutional improvements to ensure that policy finance, tax, research, development (R&D), workforce, and digital transformation support are organically linked."

He added, "We will also strive to achieve tangible results in the global market by expanding overseas networks, facilitating practical export connections, and supporting local market entry, while actively promoting educational support centered on the lifelong education center."

Finally, President Kim stated, "We will accelerate the establishment of an online co-prosperity platform to promote exchanges and collaboration among member companies," and emphasized, "The association will continue to serve as a strong partner to ensure that management innovation spreads throughout our industries and companies."
