Group 'C' Records Highest Competition Rate at 24.22 to 1

Pusan National University (President Choi Jaewon) announced that, as of December 31, 2025, the application period for the 2026 regular admissions has closed. A total of 7,996 applicants competed for 1,714 available spots, resulting in an overall competition rate of 4.67 to 1.

By admission group, the 'A' group had 4,134 applicants for 930 spots, recording a competition rate of 4.45 to 1. The 'B' group saw 3,087 applicants for 752 spots, with a competition rate of 4.11 to 1. The 'C' group had 775 applicants for 32 spots, showing a high competition rate of 24.22 to 1.

Looking at the highest competition rates by academic field, the Department of Early Childhood Education in the Humanities and Social Sciences recruited 6 students and received 63 applications, resulting in a competition rate of 10.5 to 1. In the Natural Sciences, the Smart City major recruited 10 students and received 300 applications, recording the highest competition rate of 30 to 1.

The practical skill tests for regular admissions will be held for the Department of Sports Science on January 7, 2026, and for the College of Arts on January 9 and January 12, 2026.
