The three major department stores announced on January 1 that they will simultaneously launch their New Year regular sales starting in February next year. The sales will focus on fashion and beauty, offering discounts of up to 70%.
Over 410 Brands Join Lotte Department Store...Up to 50% Off
Lotte Department Store will hold the "2026 New Year Regular Sale" from January 2 to 18, welcoming customers for the new year. A total of more than 410 brands will participate in this regular sale, offering discounts of up to 50%.

With January being the coldest month of the year, major fashion brands such as Theory, Comme des Garcons, and Paul Smith will offer winter season-off items like padded coats at discounts of up to 30%. Additionally, five leading traditional brands-Polo, Beanpole, Lacoste, Hazzys, and Tommy Hilfiger-along with luxury brands, will also host winter season-off events, targeting the demand for winter fashion.
A variety of customer participation events have been prepared to support New Year shopping demand. On January 2, starting at 9:30 a.m., the Lotte Department Store App will distribute 30,000 won discount coupons to the first 20,000 customers who spend 300,000 won or more on fashion and sports items, valid from the day of issuance until January 4. During the same period, a "New Year Shopping Support Fund Event" will be held, where 2,026 first-prize winners will each receive a Lotte Mobile Gift Certificate worth 50,000 won, and 20,000 second-prize winners will each receive a Lotte Mobile Gift Certificate worth 10,000 won, both redeemable from January 8 to 18.
Lotte Department Store will also run a "Year of the Red Horse" promotion in collaboration with Sulwhasoo. The store will exclusively offer a special gift set of First Care Activating Serum in a Red Horse-themed package and will also provide a Sulwhasoo X Odense collaboration tumbler as a promotional gift. Park Sangwoo, Head of Marketing at Lotte Department Store, said, "As this is the first event to kick off the new year, we expect strong interest from customers, especially for gift purchases."
Shinsegae Department Store: 300 Brands Participating...Up to 70% Off
Shinsegae Department Store will hold its event from January 2 to 11 across 13 stores nationwide, with more than 300 brands in fashion, accessories, and home living participating.
The highlight of this event is the "Good Luck Day Special Deals." In the street fashion, children's, and sports categories, products will be offered at discounts of up to 70%. Skechers’ Go Walk Glide Stem 2.0 will be sold for 99,000 won (original price 129,000 won), and Brown Breath’s Altinity Down Jacket will be available for 79,000 won (original price 259,000 won). The children's brand Absorba will offer a limited quantity of the Naro Bamboo Newborn Series Set-which includes a bodysuit, underwear, newborn shirt, suit, and mittens-for 99,000 won (original price 248,000 won).
The event also features a wide range of season-off and sale promotions. Popular among young customers, the overseas designer brand Lemaire will offer its 2025 Fall/Winter collection at a 30% discount, while Pleats Please will hold a 20% off sale. Young casual brands Lookast and Marithe Francois Girbaud will offer 20-30% discounts, and sports brand Andar will provide discounts of up to 50%.
There are also abundant purchase benefits. Customers who spend 600,000 won or more in a single day with a Shinsegae affiliated card can download a 30,000 won Shinsegae Reward Coupon from the Shinsegae Department Store App. Customers who spend 200,000 won or more on participating Good Luck Day Special Deal brands will receive a 20,000 won coupon. On January 2 only, Shinsegae affiliated card users will receive a 7% reward based on their purchase amount.
Hyundai Department Store: 300 Brands Participating...Up to 50% Off
Hyundai Department Store will hold its New Year season sale, "The Sale," from January 2 to 18 at all its department store locations nationwide. During the event, Hyundai Department Store will offer up to 50% off the original price on fall and winter season items from more than 300 brands in fashion, home living, and sports.
Each store will also host large-scale discount events. The Trade Center branch will hold the "Traditional Fashion Expo" from January 2 to 4 at the basement event hall, offering 2025 Fall/Winter items from popular fashion brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Beanpole, and Hazzys at discounts of up to 30%. Featured items include the Tommy Hilfiger Motion Heavy Goose Down Jacket (419,300 won) and the Beanpole Tweed Herringbone Window Check Jacket (489,300 won). Gift certificates worth up to 7% of the purchase amount will also be provided based on the amount spent.
During the same period, the Pangyo branch will hold a discount event for the children's fashion brand I Love J at the basement event hall, offering fall and winter children's clothing, such as outerwear and knits, at discounts of up to 50%. Featured products include the Wink Smile Sweatshirt (17,900 won) and the Mix Cable Knit Vest (32,100 won).
Unique pop-up stores will also be introduced during the event period. The Hyundai Seoul branch will open a "Wizard Mall" pop-up store at the basement event hall from January 2 to 17. Special exhibitions for customers will also be held. The Pangyo branch will host the "Thinking Storage" exhibition at the Hyundai Children's Book Museum MOKA, located on the 5th floor, until March 8.
