Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA Join Forces with 38 Organizations
Largest-Ever "One Team Korea" Integrated Pavilion
AI Accounts for 21% of Exhibition Fields
Agentic and Physical AI in the Spotlight... New Sectors Also Featured
The largest-ever Integrated Korea Pavilion will be established at CES 2026, the world’s largest information technology (IT) and consumer electronics exhibition.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on January 1 that they will operate the Integrated Korea Pavilion at CES 2026, which will be held from January 6 to 9 (local time) in Las Vegas, USA.
The Ministry and KOTRA, in collaboration with 38 organizations, have decided to organize the Integrated Korea Pavilion with participation from 470 companies. At this year’s CES 2026, around 1,000 Korean companies, including Samsung, LG, Hyundai Motor, and SK, are expected to participate. The Integrated Korea Pavilion will include 38 organizations such as KOTRA. A total of 470 Korean companies will exhibit in the Innovation Pavilion (298 companies) and the National Pavilion (171 companies). The main exhibition fields will be AI (21%), which accounts for the largest share, followed by digital health (16%), smart city and smart home (11%), sustainability and energy (10%), and mobility (9%).
In line with this year’s CES trends, which have added new exhibition fields such as educational technology, travel and tourism, supply chain and logistics, and film production and distribution to the existing categories, 102 Korean companies are also set to participate in these new areas. Through this, they aim to showcase industrial and everyday applications where AI is integrated.
CES 2026, under the theme “Where Innovators Take the Stage,” is expected to serve as a venue for demonstrating innovative technologies and ideas from around the world. Beyond generative AI, agentic AI-which can make decisions and act independently-as well as physical AI, which serves as the “brain” for hardware such as robots, mobility, and machinery, are expected to be major topics. AI will be implemented as technology that operates in real-world settings, such as industrial equipment, robotics, logistics, and mobility, providing a stage for technologies that have remained at the research level to be applied and validated in industry and daily life. CES is expanding its scope from traditional consumer electronics and IT exhibitions to include business-to-business (B2B) solutions based on AI technology.
In addition, KOTRA plans to share insights on the US consumer goods and electronics market outlook, startup trends, global cases of technology collaboration, and intellectual property considerations for overseas exhibitions at a “Local Experts Seminar” to be held on January 5, the day before the exhibition opens. On January 7 and 8, KOTRA will also host the “K-Innovation Pitching Challenge” in partnership with US-based accelerator Startup Junkie. At this event, 16 pre-matched Korean innovative companies will pitch and seek investment and collaboration opportunities with major US companies such as Sam’s Club, Intel, and Walmart, in line with the technology needs of global companies.
Kang Kyungsung, President of KOTRA, stated, “In line with this year’s CES trend, which will showcase the true face of ‘practical AI,’ we aimed to realize commercialized innovation in the Integrated Korea Pavilion. We will provide multifaceted support to ensure that our record number of innovation awards and the largest-ever participation in the Korea Pavilion translate into tangible export and investment outcomes through our innovative products and technological competitiveness.”
