The "Integrity Citizen Auditors" of KVWMS are independent professional auditors with third-party status who monitor and evaluate all processes of the organization's ongoing projects. They serve as advisors to strengthen integrity by providing recommendations for the prevention of corruption, improvement of unreasonable systems and practices, and other related measures.
This meeting was organized to share and analyze the results of the 2025 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, and to identify practical directions for improvement through the advice of the Integrity Citizen Auditors regarding the 2026 anti-corruption and integrity activities and the annual audit plan.
At the meeting, the Integrity Citizen Auditors emphasized the need to further enhance the trust and perceived integrity of KVWMS employees, partner companies, and customers. They called for the early identification and continuous monitoring of vulnerable areas, as well as the operation of programs to strengthen the establishment of an integrity culture, ensuring that these efforts lead to tangible results in the field.
Lee Changhwa, Standing Auditor of KVWMS, stated, "We will actively reflect the opinions of the Integrity Citizen Auditors and strengthen the implementation of integrity with the goal of achieving the highest grade in the 2026 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment." He added, "As KVWMS has maintained an excellent grade in the Comprehensive Integrity Assessment for three consecutive years, we will continue to conduct proactive, prevention-focused inspections and thoroughly verify the implementation of improvement tasks to bring about real change."
Meanwhile, since 2011, KVWMS has been operating the Integrity Citizen Auditor system and has continuously worked to strengthen communication with the public and ensure fair and transparent management of the organization.
