High1 Resort, operated by Kangwon Land (Acting CEO Choi Cheolgyu), announced on December 31 that it has prepared a variety of year-end and New Year’s sunrise events to celebrate the arrival of 2026, the Year of the Fire Horse (Byeong-o Year).
The special year-end sunset event will take place at the lawn plaza of High1 Grand Hotel. Starting at 11:20 p.m. on December 31, there will be celebratory performances by singers Sleepy and Bizzy, followed by a drone show at 11:50 p.m.
In addition, a beautiful fireworks display will light up the sky along with the countdown to mark the very beginning of 2026, creating unforgettable memories for guests visiting High1.
A sunrise event is also planned for guests who wish to make resolutions while watching the first sunrise of the New Year. On January 1, the High1 Untangodo Cable Car will be available free of charge from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., allowing guests to reach High1 Top in time for the expected sunrise.
At the cafeteria on the second floor of the Mountain Ski House, where the Mountain Cable Car boarding area is located, a warm rice cake soup sharing event will be held for the first 2,026 guests on a first-come, first-served basis.
