Seol Dongho, Superintendent of the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated in his New Year's address, "In 2026, Daejeon education will focus on realizing future-oriented education so that our students can develop the competencies needed for a rapidly changing future society and open the door to a happy future, in line with the era of educational transformation."

Superintendent Seol emphasized, "To this end, under the vision of 'Happy Schools, Daejeon Education Opening the Future,' we will implement educational policies to foster our students as creative convergence talents with sound character and creativity."

He identified five key initiatives: ▲ Strengthening creative convergence education to lead the future ▲ Promoting innovative education that encourages learning and growth ▲ Realizing responsible education that guarantees educational opportunities ▲ Establishing a safe and healthy educational environment ▲ Advancing educational administration based on communication and cooperation.

Superintendent Seol remarked, "Education nurtures talent, and talent creates a new future," adding, "In the new year of 2026, Daejeon education will continue to communicate with the education community and all citizens, and we will complete the vision of future education in Daejeon so that our students can grow into talented individuals capable of leading in a rapidly changing world."

He further stated, "I ask for your active support and cooperation so that Daejeon education can continue to lead the future of Korean education and achieve sustainable development. I wish you good health and abundant happiness in the New Year."
