Mayor Sangjin Shin Presents "2025 Public Official of the Year" Award
Recognizing Contributions in Attracting Companies Like POSCO and Advancing the Quasi-Public Bus System
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Sangjin Shin) held a year-end ceremony on the 31st and presented awards to two recipients of the "2025 Seongnam City Public Official of the Year" who contributed to enhancing the value of the city's urban brand.

At the year-end ceremony held at 10 a.m. in the Onnuri Room of City Hall, Mayor Sangjin Shin awarded plaques of commendation to Team Leader Jung Yeonsun (Future Industry Division) and Administrative Officer Kim Hyunji (Public Transportation Division), the recipients of the "2025 Seongnam City Public Official of the Year."
The year-end ceremony included the presentation of the top prize-winning entry from the employee Artificial Intelligence (AI) competition, a year-end video viewing, and a congratulatory performance by the city arts troupe.
In his year-end address, Mayor Shin expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank all Seongnam City public officials who have silently fulfilled their duties to protect the present of our citizens and open the future of our city," and urged, "In the new year, please continue to implement citizen-centered policies without any setbacks."
The "Public Official of the Year" award was established in 2022 to encourage public officials who have enhanced the value of Seongnam City's urban brand and contributed to the advancement of city administration through proactive work, as well as to spread outstanding examples. This is the third year of the award.

Team Leader Jung Yeonsun was recognized for achievements in managing the community contributions of companies attracted to the city, such as POSCO Holdings, while Administrative Officer Kim Hyunji was acknowledged for her contribution to budget savings through the Seongnam-type selective quasi-public bus system.
