Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation will move into 'Bando Ivy Planet,' the first large-scale knowledge industry center within Eco Delta City (EDC) in Gangseo-gu, Busan.

Bando Construction announced on the 31st that Bando Ivy Planet and Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation held a contract signing ceremony for the relocation of the corporation's office building the previous day. The event was attended by Kim Yongcheol, President of Bando Construction, Jung Imsu, Vice Chairman of Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation, and Choi Sooyoung, Director of Management Support at Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation.

Bando Ivy Planet will support the relocation of Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation's office and will work to ensure smooth operations and revitalization of the knowledge industry center. Bando Ivy Planet is scheduled for completion in September next year, and Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation plans to relocate by the end of October next year.

EDC, led by Korea Water Resources Corporation, has been designated as the country's first national pilot smart city, serving as a residential and lifestyle hub. Plans include the construction of a large-scale complex mall and an artificial intelligence (AI) data center, and the outline of the new EDC station for the Bujeon-Masan double-track railway is also taking shape. Previously, the center was limited to complex business facilities attracting knowledge-based industries such as manufacturing, information and communications, design, and research and development. However, following a decision by Gangseo-gu, Busan, the types of eligible industries were expanded in the second half of this year. Now, a total of 15 future-oriented industries can move in, including OEM manufacturing, comprehensive construction, legal services, accounting and tax services, video and audio production, road freight transport services, and smart farming.

Bando Ivy Planet is the first knowledge industry center built by Bando Construction within EDC. The building consists of two underground floors and eight above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 166,292 square meters. It includes 1,128 knowledge industry center units and 82 neighborhood living facilities. It is expected to become the largest knowledge industry center in Busan. The center is designed as a hybrid model optimized for a variety of clients and companies, including manufacturing, work, and independent types.

Bando Ivy Planet incorporates multiple specialized design features unique to Bando Construction. In particular, the work-type knowledge industry center is designed primarily for small units, making it easily accessible for investment, and units can be combined according to required space. The workspace can be expanded in various ways to meet the needs of different companies. With the expansion of eligible industries, the center is attracting attention for its potential to attract a diverse range of companies.

Bando Ivy Planet is adjacent to Myeongji International New City and Nakdongnam-ro, with convenient access to Myeongji IC and Seobusan IC, providing excellent transportation connectivity. It is a double-station area, with transfer stations for the planned Gangseo Line and the scheduled Hadan-Noksan Line within a five-minute walk. The new Gadeokdo Airport, which will serve as a logistics hub near EDC, is also scheduled for early opening in 2029.

A Bando Construction sales representative stated, "With the confirmation of Gadeokdo New Airport Construction Corporation's move into Bando Ivy Planet, the stability and future value associated with attracting a national institution are being highlighted," adding, "Interest from companies in eligible industries is rapidly increasing." The representative also remarked, "In particular, competition to secure units is expected to intensify due to anticipated additional demand following the corporation's relocation."

Meanwhile, the Bando Ivy Planet model house is currently open, and units for manufacturing, work-type, and commercial facilities are available for sale. Independent units are scheduled to be released in February next year.
