KCC’s Ceramics for Vacuum Circuit Breakers and Marine Coatings Selected as World-Class Products

KCC announced on December 31 that three of its products-ceramics for vacuum circuit breakers, epoxy anti-corrosive coatings for ships, and anti-fouling coatings-have been selected as world-class products for 2025.

The ceramics for vacuum circuit breakers and the epoxy anti-corrosive coatings for ships have been selected for 17 consecutive years, while the anti-fouling coatings have been chosen for 15 consecutive years.

The world-class product designation is a program overseen by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and certified by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), which selects products that meet strict criteria such as global market share, export performance, and market growth potential.

Ceramics for vacuum circuit breakers are a core material for power equipment, enabling not only the normal switching of current loads but also the rapid interruption of circuits in the event of an accident. KCC is the only domestic producer of this product and maintains its competitiveness based on stable quality.

The epoxy anti-corrosive coating for ships is a high-performance product that protects the steel structures of vessels even in marine environments where they are exposed to saltwater and humidity for extended periods. KCC’s flagship product, the EH2350 series, is highly resistant to saltwater and abrasion, making it suitable for key areas such as seawater tanks and pipes.

Anti-fouling coatings are also one of KCC’s core competitive strengths. These coatings prevent marine organisms from attaching to the hull, thereby improving operational efficiency and reducing fuel consumption. Leveraging its long-accumulated expertise in anti-fouling coatings, KCC continues to be recognized as a world-class product provider. Recently, the company has further advanced its technology with the development of the silicone-based eco-friendly anti-fouling coating “Metacruise BF.”
