Helping Children with Cancer by Using the Lim Youngwoong Check Card

Hana Financial Group announced on December 31 that it has donated funds accumulated through the "HERO Check Card" to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation to support children battling pediatric and rare cancers.

The "HERO Check Card" is designed so that Hana Card donates 1,000 won each month when a user spends more than 50,000 won per month, allowing customers to participate in social contribution simply by using the card. This initiative is part of Hana Financial Group's ongoing ESG management and inclusive finance strategy, and represents an ESG activity that spreads the value of empathy and solidarity through the participation of the financial institution, customers, advertising models, and fan clubs.

Based on usage of the "HERO Check Card" from September to November 2025, approximately 25 million won was accumulated over three months and donated in the names of "Hana Financial Group," advertising model Lim Youngwoong, and the fan club "Hero Generation."

The "HERO Check Card" offers customers a variety of reward benefits in different categories to make everyday card use more enjoyable. The card is currently available at Hana Bank branches nationwide. It can also be issued non-face-to-face through the Hana Bank mobile app "Hana One Q" and the Hana Card mobile app.

Main reward benefits include: ▲ 10% rewards on subscription service payments such as Melon, YouTube, and Netflix ▲ 5% rewards on shopping payments at large supermarkets, grocery stores, and department stores ▲ 5% rewards on utility bill payments such as telecommunications fees and management fees. Customers can earn up to 20,000 Hana Money per month in total rewards.

A Hana Financial Group representative stated, "The HERO Check Card was designed to allow anyone to participate in creating social value through everyday financial activities," adding, "We hope this donation brings a small ray of hope to children and families in desperate need of treatment and support."

Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group plans to continue expanding its inclusive finance and ESG activities to cover a wide range of social groups, including small business owners, seniors, people with disabilities, youth, and children and adolescents.
