Member-Centered Emotional Art Performances
A Comprehensive Art Stage Blending Eastern and Western Instruments, Vocal Music, and Literature
Over 100 Attendees Including Local Culture, Arts, and Education Figures
Art Love Topaz, a group of people who love the arts, held a special year-end concert on December 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the performance hall on the first floor of Secret Woman in Munji-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, where members themselves became the stars of the stage as they wrapped up the year.
Held under the slogan "Friendship Continued by the Fragrance of Art, Topaz Night," this event broke away from the typical consumer-oriented year-end party. Instead, it was designed as an emotional gathering where members could share and communicate their artistic talents honed throughout the year.
This Topaz year-end party was further enriched by a high-quality lineup of performances, all led by the members themselves.
The first part of the event featured a retrospective video looking back on Topaz's past year, introductions of distinguished guests, and a welcoming address by the chairman.
The second part began with member and baritone Jo Byungjoo hosting and performing a vocal piece, followed by a mandolin performance by musician Kim Sunyoung, a traditional Korean music performance by member Kang Seyoung, a saxophone performance by member Min Kyungseok, a vocal stage by soprano member Kim Eonja, and a poetry recitation by announcer Lee Chaeyu. In particular, the event received an enthusiastic response for its comprehensive art stage that brought together Eastern and Western instruments, vocal music, and literature.
Not only Topaz members but also many prominent figures from the local culture, arts, and education sectors attended the event, adding to its significance. Among the attendees were Lee Inbok, Secretary General of the Korea Culture Network; Kim Inhwan, President of the Daejeon Artists Association; and Daejeon Superintendent of Education candidates Maeng Suseok, Jeong Sangshin, and Lee Geonpyo, who all helped strengthen exchange and networking through the arts.
Park Beomjeong, head of the year-end party organizing committee, said, "This year-end concert was more than just a gathering; it was an opportunity for Topaz members to reaffirm their identity as one through the arts. It became a classy night to encourage members' efforts and share warm friendship."
Chairman Kim Dooheon said, "As chairman, I will do my best to deliver positive synergy through the arts, and to organize hopeful concerts where artists and citizens who love the arts in Daejeon can come together."
Art Love Topaz plans to continue a variety of activities in the new year to contribute to the development of local culture and the arts.
