A Total of 54 Officials, Including Directors, Receive New Appointments
Jeollanam-do carried out its regular personnel appointments for the first half of 2026, effective January 2.
This round of appointments was implemented in response to factors such as retirement for merit, honorary retirement, promotions to grades 3 and 4, and the transfer of deputy heads to and from other organizations. As a result, a total of 54 individuals-including 11 promoted or transferred at the director level and 43 at the deputy director and department head levels-will either move to new positions or take on new roles.
Promotions were determined by comprehensively considering job expertise, continuity of work, work performance, and overall contribution to the provincial administration. Transfers were minimized to ensure organizational stability and to strengthen professional capabilities.
For the deputy head positions, the province prioritized communication and cooperation between the provincial government and city and county administrations, assigning individuals with a deep understanding of local issues, strong policy execution skills, and organizational management capabilities.
Notably, this round of appointments included the assignment of an agricultural series director to strengthen expertise in the agri-livestock and food sectors. Among the 19 individuals promoted to grade 4, 12 were field-oriented appointments from technical and research positions.
Meanwhile, Jeollanam-do plans to complete the regular personnel appointments for the first half of 2026 by finalizing appointments for team leaders at grade 5 and below by January 12.
