The Korea Exchange will hold the 2026 Securities and Derivatives Market Opening Ceremony on January 2 next month.
The ceremony will take place on the second floor of Market Square at the Korea Exchange’s Seoul headquarters, with members of the National Assembly, government officials, related organizations, and executives from financial investment companies in attendance. The event will run for about one hour, from 9:10 a.m. to 10:10 a.m.
The ceremony will proceed in the following order: national pledge, opening address, congratulatory remarks, and the opening bell-ringing.
Due to the ceremony, regular market trading on that day will begin one hour later than usual, starting at 10:00 a.m. The closing time will remain unchanged.
