The Korea Exchange will hold the opening ceremony for the 2026 securities and derivatives markets on January 2 next month.
The ceremony will take place on the second floor of Market Square at the Korea Exchange’s Seoul headquarters, with executives from the National Assembly, government, related organizations, and financial investment companies in attendance. The event will run for about one hour, from 9:10 a.m. to 10:10 a.m.
The ceremony will proceed in the following order: national pledge, opening remarks, congratulatory address, and the opening bell ceremony.
Due to the opening ceremony, regular market trading on that day will begin one hour later than usual, at 10:00 a.m. The closing time will remain unchanged.
