On December 30, Gangjin County in Jeonnam implemented personnel transfers for fifth- and sixth-grade officials. The key features of this personnel reshuffle include assigning core positions in planning and population policy, as well as adjusting township and town appointments to strengthen on-site administration.
According to Gangjin County, the transfers of fifth- and sixth-grade officials were carried out to promote major projects of the 8th popularly elected administration and to enhance organizational efficiency.
Among the fifth-grade officials, Byeon Geunyoung was transferred to serve as Director of the Planning and Public Relations Division, while Lee Jaei was appointed as Head of Sinjeon-myeon and Kim Daekeun as Director of the Civil Service Division. Notably, Jeong Jeonghee was assigned as Acting Director of the Population Policy Division, reflecting the county’s response to population decline and ongoing organizational restructuring.
The sixth-grade team leader appointments focused on practical work assignments. Major position transfers included Oh Sumi as Team Leader for Food Town Development in the Population Policy Division and Yu Geumrang as Tax Administration Team Leader in the Tax Accounting Division. The reshuffle also included transfers of deputy township heads and team leaders to strengthen township and town administration.
A county official stated, "We will enhance administrative efficiency by placing talent in the right positions and accelerate the implementation of policies that residents can truly feel."
