Yangju City Successfully Operates "Mobile Blood Donation Bus"
202 Citizens Participate in Sharing Over Two Months
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province operated a "Mobile Blood Donation Bus" at Yangju City Hall on the 29th, in collaboration with the Korea Industrial Health Association Hanmaeum Blood Center, as part of its efforts to attract a blood donation cafe.
The event saw high participation, with 36 city hall employees, including the mayor and vice mayor, taking part in the blood donation.
Yangju City operated the blood donation bus a total of seven times from November to December, with a cumulative participation of 202 people during this period. This outcome demonstrates the active interest of citizens and their willingness to practice sharing.
Yang Soo-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, stated, "The fact that 202 citizens participated in blood donation over two months through the operation of the blood donation bus is a meaningful result that shows the culture of sharing in Yangju City is gradually spreading. Moving forward, we will strengthen cooperation with related organizations to successfully attract a blood donation cafe and create an environment where citizens can continuously participate in blood donation as part of their daily lives."
Yangju City explained that, based on the results of this operation, efforts to attract a blood donation cafe are progressing positively, and the city plans to introduce various initiatives to further promote the culture of blood donation.
