The Senior Welfare Fund Project is funded by the operating profits of the fund and aims to enhance the welfare and ensure the stable lives of seniors in Goyang City.

In 2025, nonprofit organizations and senior groups contributed to improving senior welfare in Goyang City by participating in various programs, including projects to improve the living environment for seniors with dementia and initiatives to promote leisure activities for the elderly.

The 2026 project will be implemented in accordance with the “Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Goyang City Senior Welfare Fund” and aims to discover and support creative welfare projects by private organizations to improve the quality of life for seniors in the region.

The application categories consist of four areas: ▲ programs to promote seniors’ physical and mental health ▲ programs to establish a foundation for senior self-reliance and improve self-sufficiency ▲ welfare programs for low-income seniors ▲ projects supporting social participation and leisure activities for seniors.

Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations and groups within the city that carry out public interest projects. Applications can be submitted in person to the Senior Welfare Division’s Senior Support Team at Goyang City Hall or by mail. Application forms can be downloaded from the “Notices and Announcements” section of the Goyang City Hall website.

Meanwhile, the city plans to allocate a total of 60 million won to the 2026 Senior Welfare Fund Project and will continue to work toward creating a welfare environment where seniors can enjoy healthy and stable lives through cooperation with local nonprofit organizations and private groups.
