On the 30th, President Lee Jae-myung pointed out, "Manipulation of online comments has become excessive," and described it as "an act that threatens the democratic system."

At the Cabinet meeting held at the Blue House that morning, President Lee stated, "Manipulating the ranking of comments is not only an obstruction of work but also information manipulation." He emphasized to the attending ministries, "Please pay special attention and make sure that both the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Ministry of Justice handle this matter thoroughly."

President Lee criticized, "Many comments are helpful and I check them carefully, but there are groups that abuse this. They preempt the top comments with lies, collect 'likes,' and thereby mislead the public."

He asked Minister of the Interior and Safety Yoon Ho-jung, "I previously instructed you to conduct an investigation; what is the status?" Minister Yoon replied, "The National Police Agency is establishing a dedicated task force." In response, President Lee instructed again, "Make sure to report the results."

To Han Sung-sook, Minister of SMEs and Startups and former CEO of Naver, he said, "I would like to ask about the situation at your previous company," and questioned, "Is it technically possible to check whether someone is using macros or if there is organized manipulation in the comments?"
