The integrity assessment for local councils is calculated by comprehensively reflecting survey results on legislative activities and council operations, which are evaluated by officials related to council duties, economic and social organizations, experts, and local residents, as well as anti-corruption efforts and the occurrence of corruption cases.

Notably, this year, Gwangju City Council received a perfect score of 100 points for its "integrity efforts." This is significantly higher than the average score of 87.2 for other basic city councils. As a result, Gwangju City Council received the top grade for integrity efforts for two consecutive years. The council was highly rated for its efforts to enhance integrity, such as conducting anti-corruption education and strengthening the code of ethics, in its aim to build a trustworthy and clean council for its citizens.

Going forward, Gwangju City Council will continue to do its utmost as a council that works together with citizens, striving to realize trustworthy administration and foster a clean public service culture, further establishing itself as a reliable public institution.
