The Geombae Public Parking Lot is located within Geombae Neighborhood Park in Sutaek-dong, Guri City. It is a public parking facility with a total area of 3,737 square meters, three above-ground floors, and 97 parking spaces. Construction began in August 2023 and was completed in November of this year, with a total project cost of 12.1 billion won.
In particular, the newly constructed Geombae Public Parking Lot goes beyond simply providing parking spaces. It is a community-oriented public facility with eco-friendly and multi-functional features, including five electric vehicle charging stations and amenities for citizens. It is expected to resolve chronic parking inconveniences in nearby residential and commercial areas and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
Until now, the Sutaek-dong area has experienced ongoing complaints from residents due to a lack of parking spaces, despite a high concentration of multi-family and row houses. In particular, with the planned demolition of existing public parking lots installed on deck structures as part of the Inchangcheon Ecological Stream Restoration Project, the opening of the Geombae Public Parking Lot is expected to make a tangible contribution to improving the living environment and establishing traffic order.
A city official stated, "The Geombae Public Parking Lot is more than just a place to park vehicles; it is a community-oriented public facility that eases daily inconveniences for residents and energizes the local area. We will continue to do our best to improve the parking environment and expand urban infrastructure so that citizens can feel the difference in their daily lives."

Meanwhile, Guri City will temporarily operate the Geombae Public Parking Lot free of charge for about one month, until January 31, 2026, so that local residents can conveniently use the facility. From February 2026, the parking lot will begin normal paid operations. Guri City also plans to continue implementing resident-centered transportation policies, such as expanding public parking lots, to address parking shortages in the future.
