Evaluation Based on Acceptance and Action Rates of Safety Reports
Seo-gu, Gwangju City, was selected as the top autonomous district for three consecutive years, ranking first in the "2025 Safe Report Work Evaluation."
According to Seo-gu on the 30th, this evaluation, organized by Gwangju City, comprehensively reviewed four categories for the five autonomous districts in the Gwangju area: the acceptance and action rate of safety reports, the rate of resident safety reports and participation, the performance of the safety monitoring volunteer group in reporting and participation, and the scale of the autonomous district’s own reporting reward system. The final decision was made based on these criteria.

In particular, Seo-gu actively promoted the Safe Report platform and operated a reward program totaling 6 million won, encouraging voluntary participation from residents and contributing to the spread of a safety culture.
Additionally, Seo-gu conducted various campaigns, including "Safety Inspection Day," in collaboration with the safety monitoring group, to proactively identify and improve safety risks in daily life.
Seo-gu Mayor Kim Ikang said, "This award is a valuable achievement made possible by the joint efforts of residents, the safety monitoring group, and public officials," adding, "We will continue to do our best to realize 'Safe Seo-gu by Your Side,' with the Safe Report platform at the center."
