The Filial Piety Meal Table provides a nutritious free lunch to district residents aged 75 and older. If a participant misses a meal, staff check on their well-being by phone or in person, operating as a care service aligned with the district’s basic social policy goals.

To ensure stable meal provision, the district completed its first side dish factory in April last year and finished construction of a second one in February this year. In addition, since November last year, the district has been running the "Patriotic Meal Table," which gives priority support to national merit recipients. In recognition of these achievements, the Filial Piety Meal Table received the "2024 District Policy of the Year Award," selected by a vote of Seoul’s press corps.

With winter approaching, the district has provided warm scarves to elderly residents and offered a Western-style special meal on Christmas Day, December 25. Emergency kits containing disinfectant, gauze, and bandages have been placed at meal service sites to prepare for emergencies.

Mayor Park Gangsu stated, "Even during the cold winter, we will strengthen the safety management system at meal service sites so that elderly residents can dine more safely and comfortably, and we will continue to provide attentive support. We will do our utmost to respect seniors, bridge generations, and make Mapo a community where everyone can live warmly together."
