Muan County in South Jeolla Province has once again been recognized as the top local government in the province's land administration sector by winning the Grand Prize in the Jeollanam-do Comprehensive Land Administration Evaluation.
This evaluation is a system that comprehensively reviews the annual performance of 22 cities and counties in the province across all aspects of land administration, including cadastral affairs, land management, spatial information, and cadastral resurvey. The main evaluation criteria included the discovery of new land administration policies and achievements in enhancing resident convenience.
The county received high marks for actively promoting resident-focused initiatives such as installing notification signboards for cadastral control points, conducting detailed investigations of individual officially assessed land prices and real estate transaction reports, installing autonomous building number plates in the airport gateway district in connection with the signboard improvement project, and reorganizing land use zones and districts in areas where cadastral resurvey was completed.
In particular, securing more than 800 million won in national funding for the 2025 cadastral resurvey project and smoothly carrying out the project for 4,304 parcels were cited as key factors in winning the Grand Prize. With this award, Muan County has now achieved a total of 12 awards in the Comprehensive Land Administration Evaluation.
Kim San, Governor of Muan County, stated, "Proactive administration for our residents has led to meaningful achievements," adding, "We will continue to discover tailored land administration policies that meet the needs of our residents and provide trusted administrative services."
